She is the former wife of Pierre Trudeau, 15th Prime Minister of Canada and mother of Justin Trudeau, the 23rd Prime Minister of Canada.

Neera Tanden, the President of the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank in Washington, DC, has helped to build through service in prominent roles there since 2003. Before that, Tanden worked on the campaigns of several Democratic Presidential candidates. She was born today in 1970.
