Elizabeth Cady Stanton, a feminist and suffragist who organized the first U.S. women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York, was born today in 1815.

Grace Kelly, an American film actress, was born today in 1929. After starring in several significant films in the early to mid-1950s, she became Princess of Monaco by marrying Prince Rainier III in April 1956.
