Jane Matilda Bolin, the first African American woman judge and the first black woman to receive a law degree from Yale, was born today in 1908.

Annie Dodge Wauneka

Annie Dodge Wauneka was born today in 1910. She was elected to the Navajo Tribal Council, worked on tuberculosis epidemic using Navajo and the Bureau of Indian Affairs ideas, and demanded funding for child health programs.
